Dan Sherman, Managing Director

 

Dan Sherman joined CFC Capital in 2011 to lead the company’s investment activities in interactive entertainment. Prior to joining CFC Capital, Mr. Sherman held roles in business development, finance, and sales at video game publishers Electronic Arts and Ubisoft Entertainment, beginning in 2002. Most recently, Mr. Sherman led the execution of video game co-publishing and distribution partnerships in North America and Asia as Director of Business Development of EA Partners, the division of Electronic Arts that sources content from independent video game developers worldwide. In this function, Mr. Sherman negotiated partnerships with some of the world’s leading video game developers, including Respawn Entertainment, Insomniac Games, and Id Software and played a key role in securing and expanding relationships with Harmonix Music Systems and Valve to grow EA Partners’ revenue fivefold to over $500 million. Working with financing partners, he spearheaded multiple initiatives that enabled video game productions to be funded with outside capital. Prior to his video game publishing roles, Mr. Sherman worked as an investment banker in London, Paris, and New York at Lehman Brothers and HSBC, with emphasis on media, telecommunications, and technology.

 

Mr. Sherman holds a B.S. degree in Finance from Boston College and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
